The ESM Annual Workshop is designed to be a motivating experience for students, parents, teachers, and guests.

Due to pandemic restrictions and online scheduling logistics, our 2021 Workshop has been lengthened into a two-day event.

Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE)

ESM's Sprouts Program is thrilled to present this special workshop session!

SECE is designed for babies and young children ages 0-4. In addition to a specialized curriculum and tailored classes, SECE aims to enhance the character development of children through structured peer learning and social interaction. No prior music knowledge or experience is needed.

 

SECE Session: Saturday March 27 @ 10:10 - 11:10 am EDT
Location: Zoom
Clinician: Danette Warren Schuh
Fee: $10. Each child should be accompanied by an adult, one per child.

This workshop registration also grants you access as a Workshop Observer to the other workshop sessions.

You are encouraged to attend the Workshop's Parent Talk session given by renowned violinist, Suzuki teacher trainer, and psychotherapist Ed Sprunger: Saturday March 27 @ 1:15-2:15 pm EDT

Student Workshop

ESM tuition has the Annual Workshop built into it. This year's workshop has a minimal fee added due to pandemic restructuring.

Each workshop student participates in:

  • a group/repertoire class,
  • an enrichment/technique class,
  • and a masterclass (except for Pre-Twinkle students).
Parents should attend the Parent Talk. Teens (ages 12 & up) should attend the Teen Talk.

Student fee: Pre-Twinkle students: $0 (no masterclass)
Junior students: $10 (Books 1 to 2-3)
Intermediate students: $15
Senior students: $20
Registration: To maintain optimal session sizes, workshop registration is only open to current ESM students.
Each student must submit a Workshop registration to participate.
Student deadline: Sunday March 14

Workshop Observers

Dr. Suzuki modelled lifelong learning, and in that same spirit we welcome workshop observers.

Tickets are valid for the entire workshop weekend (Saturday & Sunday), except for sessions designated as restricted.

Expectations:
Observers must keep their camera and microphone turned off throughout the workshop weekend. They must refrain from participating in sessions, including sending Zoom messages to the clinicians. Observers who are disruptive will be removed.

Observer ticket fee:   $10 + transaction fee ($1.50)
ESM faculty and ESM families do not need to purchase tickets.
