ESM has a vibrant senior student program. As well as their regular group class activities, our senior students have the opportunity to participate in chamber groups, orchestra, community concerts, special retreats, exchanges with other programs, masterclasses and mentoring younger students.

There will be opportunities available for ESM's teen students who wish to mentor and help our younger students as well as to assist our teachers. Some of our teens have participated in a training session on working as teen mentors or practice buddies for our younger students.  Day-long Teen Mentoring training workshops are offered every couple of years. Participants must be 13 or older and in Suzuki Book 4 or higher. Anyone interested in finding out more about this should contact ESM by email or phone.

Students are able to earn community service hours for their help at special events.

ESM Cellists went to China!

Six of our senior cellists toured China in March 2016 as part of the Performance Ensemble of Canada. They joined 65 young musicians and dancers aged 10 to 17 from Guelph, Kingston and Montreal in an eleven day professional level tour with five performances in some of the best concert halls in major Chinese cities. They had a blast! Between performances they got to see Chinese gardens and tea and silk factories and to shop in Chinese markets.

We wish to thank our generous supporters for helping to make this experience possible.
